  4. Users of MusicManIII Beta1 or Beta2  _M_U_S_T_  delete their
  5. MusicManIII.Prefs in ENV:MusicManIII and ENVARC:MusicManIII.
  6. They  _M_U_S_T_  delete their "#?.mm3" and "#?.ptr" files too,
  7. because of a complete re-design of the file-structures. I hope
  8. this is no problem for anyone (this will never happen again).

  11. But what changed?
  12. -----------------

  14. From Beta3 on the strings for Artist, Title, Songs, Special-
  15. fields, type and tape may be up to 255 characters long. MMIII
  16. now saves records even more dynamically so that files are a
  17. lot smaller compared to MMII (about 50%) and even a little bit
  18. smaller compared to MMIII Beta2 - with even more possible info
  19. to be saved!

  23. UPDATES

  26. As MusicManIII now supports keyfiles there is no need to receive
  27. updates directly from me. You only have to get the update from
  28. the AmiNet or any PD disk, install it without overwriting the
  29. keyfile and you have to newest non-demo release.
  30. If you do not have access to the InterNet or don't buy PD disks
  31. often you still can get updates directly from me. Therefore you
  32. have to send me DM5.-- (if you live in Germany, Austria or the
  33. Switzerlands) or US-$5.-- (if you live in the rest of the world)
  34. for each Update you want. If you want e.g. the next 4 Updates
  35. you have to send me DM20.-- (or US-$20.--).
  36. Then you'll receive the Update(s) as soon as one is available.

  40. SHAREWARE
  41. =========

  43. MusicManIII is Shareware. That means if you like MusicManIII and
  44. choose to use it you'll have to pay the Shareare fee. Use the
  45. supplied file "Registration.asc" to register.

  47. The Shareware release has the following limitations:
  48.  
  49.  - Only 20 records per file
  50.  - Only 1 file per mode
  51.  
  52. Everything else works.
